MIAMI METROMOVER

Downtown Miami’s Metromover monorail is a fun, fast, and cheap way to get around town. At a quarter per trip, this air-conditioned Disney-like transport is a real bargain. Seniors, students, and people with disabilities pay a dime with a rail permit.

The individualized motor cars run on top of a 4.4-mile elevated track that loops around downtown Miami and into the city’s two major business districts - Brickell and Omni.

Miami MetromoverOffering a bird’s eye view of the city below, Metromover makes stops at Bayside Marketplace, Miami Arena, the Miami-Dade Cultural Center, the Miami Convention Center, and many hotels. From this perch you can see beautiful Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.

Service runs daily 6am to midnight, every 90 seconds during peak hours and every three minutes off-peak. The fare to transfer to Metrorail is $1. Fares can be paid in tokens, coins, or dollar bills, exact change only.

For more information on Metromover routes and schedules, call (305) 770-3131. Also, you can get a "First-Time Rider’s Kit," free maps, and schedules by mail before your trip if you call the Miami-Dade Transit Agency at (305) 654-6586. The kit includes information on Metromover, Metrobus, and Metrorail.
